Vice President of Sales - Ryzex

One of the world's largest specialty re-marketer of new, used and surplus electronic equipment which possesses a highly successful and unique business model is currently looking for a Vice President of Sales to work from its corporate office in Bellingham, Washington. This 50 million dollar a year semi-global company has additional offices throughout North America, England and Australia.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be tasked with managing and expanding the inside sales force that is focused on selling new and refurbished electronic equipment products; wireless systems and services plus value rich hardware repair agreements. One of the sales divisions is currently underperforming and the initial primary task of the new VP will be to review, reposition and revitalize this sales division. The company's existing model which sees it's sales representatives selling all products to all customers has reached a point of complexity where it has become difficult to scale and the VP North American Sales initial tasks will be to: 1) evaluate the existing sales process; 2) review and refine the roles and focus of the sales force, 3) develop a comprehensive process driven strategy to allow our model to become more scaleable, 4) position our sales efforts to be able to secure significant additional business that leverages our core competencies.

Once the VP North American Sales has gained an adequate knowledge of our business, than the Vice President will than focus his/her energy on disciplined analysis of the market, competitors and the identification of the uncovered opportunities that exist in the current climate. Our expectation is that VP North American Sales will ultimately be able to make a meaningful contribution to the strategic direction of the company as. The VP North America Sales will also assist in finding ways to penetrate new clients across various vertical markets, and building/executing a sales strategy for existing strategic accounts. The VP North America Sales must have an understanding for the complexity of resource management and quality client delivery.

REQUIREMENTS
Preferred experience should include previous positions as a VP of Sales with an extensive experience managing a mid to large size inside/outside sales team selling new and refurbished high technology products, value-added services and related third party maintenance offerings in areas such as networking, telecommunications, computers, complex office equipment, or peripherals. In addition the successful candidates must have the following attributes:

  • 10+ years Sales experience.
  • 5+ years as a VP Sales of a $250+ million dollar company.
  • 5+ years' proven experience building and managing and a successful inside sales team in the US or Canada that can sell a suite of value-added services wrapped around commoditized products.
  • Proven track record of a dedicated tenure with previous employers.
  • A track record of integrating into an established team with the capability to build relationships and gain the respect of the team quickly.
  • Ability to develop and lead a team that will set realistic client expectations and will over-deliver.
  • Must possess strong computer literacy skills.
  • Prefer a strong personal interest in environmental and social responsibility.
  • Ability to travel nationally 10-25% of the time.
  • Must not have any limitation that would prevent them from traveling to Canada or other countries.
EDUCATION
Undergraduate degree required. Graduate degree (M.B.A. or other relevant degree) preferred. Compelling business experience can be an acceptable substitute.
